Thank you to those who joined me for the Pelvic Floor Symposium. If you missed it, it will be published to Spotify and Youtube shortly.
The pelvic floor sits in the base chakra which holds the energy of safety, security, and sense of belonging. When we are stuck in the "doing" and we don't allow any breathing space for our life we can hold our breath, hold unnecessary tension in our body, and feel like we must keep the machine going. This does not enable our pelvic floor and deep core muscles to have their full range and strength.
Here are some breathing and yoga practices that, when integrated into your daily life, can help restore your pelvic floor integrity:
Restorative Bridge Pose: Use a bolster, pillow, or just a rolled up towel. Start low, and increase the height gently as your back, hip flexers and pelvic muscles release and realign. Do this for a few minutes (up to 10 minutes) to break up your day. Don't forget to breathe!

2. Simple Yoga to Restore your Deep Core: Do as much or as little as you like - just get started!. It will help improve your awareness of your deep core and help rebuild your foundation:
