Playfulness is a quality of the present moment. It brings you into the state of joy and freedom, a lovely high vibrational state that allows easy self-healing. It's easy to forget how to play and have fun when things get stressful, busy and overwhelming, but through play you will find many things you've been looking for. You will learn a lot about life and yourself. We know children learn through play, so why not you?
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your life when it comes to play and playfulness? I'm talking about having fun and being playful in your daily life.
Here are three ways to bring playfulness into your life this summer.
Play games you loved when you were a child. You can play games that are good for your physical and emotional wellbeing. It's a real use it or lose it situation, so here's video from my friend and Hula-Hoop Artist, Mel Wheeler to get you back into hula-hooping! Good for your outlook on life, your physical fitness (including your pelvic floor!)
2. Play upbeat music around the house - just because. I'm often giving people the homework of playing music as part of shifting their energy through their morning routine. If you want to be more playful, what music will help you tap into that part of yourself?
3. Go and play with your kids! If you are busy-being-busy, you may feel you don't have 'time' to play with the kids. Ask yourself, what will happen if I don't play with the kids? Not only will you miss out on enjoying hanging out with your children, you will also miss out on creating long-lasting connections. Connecting through play will help you both build resilience and creativity through emotional regulation - more on that later!
Imagine a world where we live through more playfulness?
